Residential volunteers
Residential Volunteers play a significant role in the provision of housing services and support to young people. Residential Volunteers, as the name suggests, are accomodated at the young people's services and provide the first point of contact for the residents. As such, they offer a role-model to the young people that they encounter. In this role, they may deal with a wide-range of issues such as young people's frustrations with some of the day-to-day bureaucracy that they may encounter to being the first person to notice the transition for the tenant from being a young person to an adult.
Residential volunteers will receive an induction into their role and ongoing supervision and support.
