Rainer young person
Working with Trusts and Foundations
Since our foundation over 200 years ago, Rainer has literally helped millions of young people and played a crucial role in setting up the probationary service as we recognise it today. Our achievements during this time would not have been possible without the generosity of our supporters, including Trusts and Foundations.

Our vision is to continue providing vital help for under-supported young people for the next 200 years and grant-giving trusts and foundations bestow opportunities for Rainer to take an entrepreneurial approach to tackling social and individual needs by experimenting with new methods.
In the past two years, donations from trusts and foundations have allowed us to:
-
Set up a parenting and mentoring programme of work with young offenders at our Rainer West Sussex Supported Accomodation project in Worthing

-
Employ a workshop assistant at our Rainer Medway Motor Project in Rochester, Kent
-
Set up a schools-based project in Brent addressing the needs of underachievers and those at risk of exclusion
-
Employ a sessional tutor to run music workshop sessions at our BreakFree project in Tottenham
-
Employ a part-time worker to deliver anti-bullying sessions for young women at our Rainer Essex Young Women's Services in Basildon
-
Run training sessions for staff who recruit, train and support volunteers at our projects throughout the UK
If you are a Trustee or know of a trust that may support our work, we would be very pleased to hear from you. Please contact our Trust Fundraising Manager- Leila Fazal at leila.fazal@raineronline.org or by telephone on 020 7840 5625.
Here are some examples of how your trust or foundation could help us:
-
£150 could help buy an outfit for a young person attending interviews whilst seeking work
-
£600 could help us provide 6 young mothers with the basics they will need whilst living in our supported housing projects
-
£1,000 could help us buy computer equipment for young people engaged on our education, training and employment programmes
-
£3,000 could help us run anti-bullying workshops at our young womens' projects in Essex
-
£5,000 could help us recruit, train and support 10 volunteer mentors for one year
-
£7,500 could help pay for drama, music, theatre and other creative workshops as part of our education, training and employment programmes
-
£10,000 could help support the costs of specialist tutors to address specific needs of young people, ie literacy/numeracy training, or drugs/alcohol counselling
