Rainer helped me stand up from being knocked, giving me the chance to get my life back on track. I don't know what I would do without the support I had.

On 1st December 2006 Communities that Care (CTC) joined forces with Rainer.

Communities that Care tackles social exclusion and problem behaviours by working with local communities to promote better outcomes for the children and young people living within them.

CTC was established in the UK in 1997 with the support of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.  It takes an evidence-based approach to identifying the main risk and protective factors for young people within a local area and then engages commissioners in the development of an holistic children and young people's action plan.

CTC has worked in more than 50 locations across the UK, most recently in Edinburgh where the organisation conducted a survey of more than 20,000 secondary school students to help identify the key risk and protective factors that affect them.
